Coconut fibre is a 100% organic and sustainable material. It is obtained from the fruit of the Cocos Nucifera palm, a plant that can reach 100 years of age and grows naturally in tropical areas of Sri Lanka, India or Brazil.

About this substrate
01What is coconut fibre substrate?
It is a 100% organic material from the inner husk of the coconut (the fruit of the Cocos Nucifera palm). It provides very high porosity that favours root development, with a medium acidity level (pH 5.5–6.2) suitable for most crops.
02What advantages does coconut fibre have over other substrates?
It offers an excellent balance between aeration and water retention, does not compact when it dries and contains a large amount of lignin, which favours beneficial micro-organisms for the roots. It is especially suitable for hydroponic systems.
03Is coconut fibre sustainable?
Yes. It is an organic and environmentally friendly material: only the fruits of the coconut palm are used, which produces a large number of coconuts each year, so obtaining it does not pose an environmental problem.
